FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS ABOUT HOMEBANKING
1. What do are the requirements for accessing Homebanking on my computer?
You must have a
computer with Internet access.
You must sign a
card with SEE&A and be issued a password -- some fees apply.
You MUST have
the following enabled on your computer: Cookies, Java, SSL. These settings can
generally be found under Internet Options in Microsoft Internet Explorer
2. I click on Homebanking but nothing happens or it takes me to the wrong page,
what do I do?
The first thing
you should try is clearing your cache. In Microsoft Explorer, this is
accomplished by clicking Internet Options, then Delete Files (be sure to click
Delete All Offline Content.) This will delete files saved on your computer and
will most likely fix the problem.
If this doesn’t
work, try waiting 15 minutes or so, and try it again. If it still doesn’t work,
contact the credit union at 734-242-3765 or 1-800-732-1921.
3. Can I access Homebanking if I use WEBTV?
Every system is
different, but it is our experience that members are unable to access
Homebanking via WEBTV.
4. I use a Mac/Apple/Imac, will Homebanking still work?
Yes, it will
still work if all settings are correct.
5. I lost my PIN for Homebanking, what do I do?
We can reset
your pin number if the Primary member on the account requests a reset in writing.
6. My husband is on my accounts and he signed up for Homebanking on his account,
can he access my information and, if so, can I block him from seeing it?
When a member
signs up for Homebanking, they are provided access to every account upon which
they are joint. This means they can see balances, histories, etc. If the husband
is joint on the savings but not on the loan, he will be able to access the
savings, but not the loan.
Primary members
cannot block joint owners from this unless J/O signs a release and is removed
from the account completely. If this happens, the J/0 will no longer be joint on
the account and will have no access whatsoever. Conversely, if a husband is not
on his wife’s loan, but IS on her savings, we cannot give him access to the loan.
7. I signed up for Homebanking and decided to close my account 3 months later,
do I get my money back?
No, money paid
for Homebanking is non-refundable except in extreme circumstances during the
first 30 days.
